Me and two of my best friends at our high school Baccalaureate

It has been a while since I have blogged, but I have been sort of busy lately.  Since I last wrote I have completed my first semester of college and started a new one.  This semesters classes consist of Math 112, General Psychology, American History 2, and Principles of Biology 2.  I will admit I may have pushed my self a little with this course load.  I can not wait for Summer.

Hi Again!

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, it's been really busy.  The only really exciting things that happened this week:

1. I had my first college math quiz. :\ (We used the easy scan answer sheets and all I had was a mechanical pencil. However if that is a problem then over half of the class has the same problem.)
2. I had a long day Wednesday, but it was all made better by helping in the nursery at church.
3. Perhaps the best part of the week was last night when PC beat Shades Mt. 58 - 7 to make them 2 and 0 for the season. Yeah!  Keep up the good work Tornadoes.

*Now let me go watch my favorite college team play Kent State!

End of Week Two Classes. Yeah!

So, tonight marks the end of my second week of classes, and it ended quit well.  My first class of the day did not meet and my second class seemed to go by way to fast.  I absolutely love my History class. Oh, and good luck to my Tornadoes tomorrow night as you take on ACA!

Today

Today I had math and the instructor actually got there early! I know, I couldn't believe it either.  Anyway, we learned about slope and slope-intercept form.  Then I went to Biology where we learned about basic chemistry, no that was not a mistype, come to find out in order to learn about Biology we must first learn what the living body is made up of.  Confusing, right?  Then as soon as I got home I jumped right back in the car where my sister went to youth, my dad went to singing practice, and my mom and I went to Bible study.  All in all I had a relatively slow day.

Cyberbully Movie

So I went to my usual site of hulu.com to see if a new episode of Switched at Birth had been uploaded.  When I saw that it had not, I decided to check out abc family's website to see if it was up on there. However, as you can see by the title of this post I sort of got distracted.  At the top of the home page was a post stating that the Cyberbully Movie was up but would only be available for a short period of time.  I have been wanting to see this movie ever since abc family started advertising it, but then we down graded our cable package and lost the channel.

Cyberbully is a very powerful movie that is full of raw cyberbulling but if you can stick through till the end, there is a really powerful scene at the end that shows just how powerful it can be to take a stand.  I would recommend this movie to everybody, however I strongly advise any parent who does not want to expose there child to foul language to watch it while the kids are not around.

Tuesday, August 23

Well the day started out with me actually getting to sleep late, yeah!  Then I did a little ironing, went to town and got some supplies I needed for school then checked my email to find out I wont have to go to school until the start of my second class on Thursday, I haven't figured out if that is a good or bad thing yet. When I finally got to school it was so hot that the instructor dismissed class early, take in mind this is the instructor that last week talked until the last minute.  Then I walked into my next class just to remember how much the instructor reminds me of my high school history teacher, then we laughed most of the class and the examples he gave to try and explain what we were studying and came up with a new name for the title of the lecture, which I will not repeat because I do not want to offend anybody. Don't worry though it was nothing to bad I just don't want to plant an unwelcome image in someones head.  Oh! Between classes I talked to a classmate from high school that I haven't seen in about a week.  Then I came home, ate supper, turned a Sample paper in the Turn It In, which works very well by the way, the point of the paper was to see how well it would catch plagiarism and so with permission from the instructor I used a paper that I had already written for one of my Early College classes then, as suggested by the Instructor, copied and pasted a paragraph from on online class.  A word of advice for any fellow students, when writing a paper that actually counts for a grade, DO NOT PLAGIARIZE! Really, it caught Everything, in this case that means that it said my paper was 100% plagiarized, I sure am glad this was just a "See how well Turn It In works" paper, if not I would be in BIG trouble.

First week of class and start of Second week!

So, I have graduated high school, new I have to knock college out of the way!  So I attend a small community college close to home.  The first week of classes, starting with August 15 went like this.

Monday:  All I had to do this day was orientation it was great because we got out early which was great.

Tuesdays:  Class was interesting to say the least.  I arrived at my first class only to find our, "Bye, come back Thursday." Then had to wait for my next class that did not start for another two hours.

Wednesday: Math instructor was 30 minutes late for class, took 30 minutes to take roll, and dismissed us 15 minutes early. My second class was ok we took a pretest and that was about it.

Thursday: Instructor for my first class, which is an IITS class, just so you know, tells us the reason we did not have class on Tuesday was because he didn't think classes started till this week. Then the instructor in my second class, who reminds me so much of my high school history teach in scares me sometimes, was going over the syllabus read off a quote and went into a just about 20 minute mini lecture on how Hitler manipulated the people of Germany after the first world war by telling them that their government let them down and how that basicly led to the second world war.

Friday: I don't have any classes on Friday, however I did attend a lock-in at church Friday night/ Saturday Morning.  Had fun and got to visit with a friend I have not seen in a very long time.

Saturday: I recovered the lock-in.

Yesterday: After church, I went and ate lunch with the girls.

Today: My math instructor was again late, only by 15 minuates this time, however again we spent 30 minutes on roll, complained about how hot it was in the room, it was really hot.  Then I spent 1 hour and 15 minutes in lecture for Biology then had a two hour lab.

Welp, that is how my college career is going so far!
